al's garden: progress report

Things are looking good; the garden is definitely along. Click here and you can see where it was in the beginning of June. Since then, I put a stone walkway along the perimeter of the boxes. Before, I kept falling into the fence while weeding, but now the walkway gave me a sense of space. It makes a huge difference. The beets and tomato plants are growing nicely. I planted more seeds. Unfortunately I don’t think the soil is right for the cantaloupe to grow. The eggplant is still in the game but is a bit slow. Now that the fence is in place it looks like the critters can’t mess things up. I am looking forward to the beets and tomatoes, and seeing my Aunt Joan’s zinnia garden bloom. I’ll keep you posted.
