you said: "i'm looking for cute photo boxes"

Shelterrific reader Rebecca B. wrote in the other day to ask help for her photo-storing: “I just want boxes to stash my photographs in. Nothing too fancy, but something a step up from the bare-bones styles offered from photo-supply shops.”

First, a word about photos. Even though we are major digital camera users, that doesn’t mean we don’t value a printed photo. We are addicted to Shutterfly, ordering prints of pix all time. It’s so important to do that, otherwise in ten years when we’re all using new computer systems and gadgets, our photographic memories may go the way of the eight-track cassette. That said, storing your photos is very important. Ideally you would use good archival boxes like these from The Container Store. But there are more attractive options, like these in a rainbow of colors. Also, as our friend at fototelier.com pointed out, these pretty boxes (above) from kolo.com are smart and come in a range of sophisticated colors, $22-$34 .

Does anyone else have any photo box suggestions for Rebecca? Let us know!

Hi, I agree about the importance of having prints! And thanks for mentioning fototiller – I am a big fan of Kolo products and love those boxes. I also just posted on some photo boxes for Target here:

I use products from Exposures– here is the link:

They are VERY high quality, and if you need another one, they’ll be in stock. Yes, you can get it cheaper– but they’ve got great service.

Paper Source has a line of photo boxes, too. I have an article only blog you can check out for details– http://organizingla.blogs.com/organizingla_blog/2006/02/gorgeous_office.html

Thanks!
