In almost every issue of Elle Decor UK I find a new object of desire, something gorgeous and simple that isn’t sold in stores on this side of the pond. This month, my new obsession is Cmielow porcelain figurines, as seen on page 38 of the August issue. Pronounced “tschmee-loov,” they come from a centuries-old factory in a small town in Poland of the same name. The credit they have listed (twentytwentyone.com — a great site) doesn’t seem to have them posted yet, but a quick search told me these elegant creatures are quite common on eBay. I’ve got my eye on this fox, which is one of the items in the magazine. I’ll let you know if I end up bidding on it! — Angela M.
