You may have heard about West Elm’s new product line, introducing a rich, “acorn” wood stain. The above upholstered side chairs especially caught my eye, not just because they’re lovely, but because I can’t believe how much they have knocked off Danish modern design. Do a quick search on eBay and you’ll find a dozen listings of the real thing at similar prices. Look at these, an elegant oak pair, or this Eames classic. I can guarantee they will be better made than the West Elm. If you like this look, don’t give up the hunt! Finding the real thing will be so much more satisfying, don’t you think? — Angela M.
