The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum is gearing up for its National Design Award week from October 15 to 21, and in addition to the big prizes (which include winners such as Areon chair designer, the late, great Bill Stumpf) they are also giving away their first-ever People’s Design Award. Log on over to peoplesdesignaward.org where you can browse all the nominees and vote. The current selection includes a wide range of designs, such as (from left to right): the ingenious Clear Blue Hawaii Napali Kayak, Chanel’s classic No. 5 bottle and Blik’s clever wall graphics (a favorite of ours). Don’t see one that you love? Make your own nomination. You have until October 16th to weigh in on your opinion. Go ahead and vote!
