fresh smells for fall: arthome cleansers

Everyone goes on and on about spring cleaning, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore the fall! It’s time to welcome the new season into your home, and sprucing it up with a fresh scent is one way to get started. Usually we rely on old standards like fig and pomegranate, but this year we are trying something new. We’re ordering from fruits-passion.com, a Canadian-based fragrance company that creates all sorts of smelly wonders. Our favorites are their ArtHome Cleansers, like the Botanical Room and Fabric Deodorizer in California Grapefruit ($12) and the Detergent for Delicate Fabrics in Tulip (also $12). Both are light and fresh and have us excited to clean things. Do you have a room scent you love? Please share!

This company’s stuff used to get sold a lot maybe 10-12 years ago in department stores like Dillard’s… only the bath and candle stuff… and in small boutiquey stores.
Their Fieldberries scent is amazing, mouthwatering. It has the usual berry overtones but with a real sharpness to it that is probably cranberry/citrus. One of the best berry-scented bath lines I’ve ever sniffed. The other scents were nice too, though much has been introduced since I’ve been anywhere that was actually carrying this stuff.
The Cucina stuff is also nice – lots of small gourmet boutiques carry it. The places that are like Williams-Sonoma, only indie.
Caldrea – Rose Tobacco is really nice. Odd combination but nice if you like old fashioned roses.
