boo! spooky halloween treats

We love October! Crisp nights, changing leaves, new sweaters. But the best thing is that it’s Halloween-time, and we can embrace our inner-Goths. Lil’ ghouls and ghosts always make us smile, like these Nyokki egg pet plants, $10 each, from Zebra Hall. Wouldn’t the skeleton one could be great in the office? Here are few other cute critters that we love.

marzipan.jpg Dean & Deluca’s Marzipan figurines. Ok, they’re pricey, $32 for set of three. But a candy Nosferatu! How genius is that!

ghostcandles.jpg These Ghost Candles from Red Envelope are so sweet, you may not want to burn them. But they’re on sale, four for $9 so why not!

vampirestring.jpg We’ve written about String Dolls before, but just spotted these keychains at Uncommon Goods, $12 each.

They’re all so adorable!

I’m also impressed – I hate to say it – with Starbucks’ Halloween line, which features around four cute, off-kilter characters. One is a ghost sticking out its tongue, two are one-eyed creatures, not sure about the rest. They have stuffed animals, travel mugs, treats, and ceramic mugs, maybe some other things too.

& speaking of travel mugs as in the recent post – the ones they sell there seasonally are my favorites, because the flip-top lids really seal into place and drinks stay very hot in them. I have a Migo mug as well, which is cute and has a rubbery handle, but the top does not seal securely, and it doesn’t keep stuff hot at all. I mostly use it in the summer for cold drinks in the car. I’m hesitant to post this info on that thread, too, because I’m worried I’ll sound too much like a Starbucks shill… this is not the case, it’s just that there’s one literally in my backyard. :)

Wow,
we must have the same taste, just did a whole series on halloween and we think alike. k
