follow-up post: erica’s vintage menus

Thanks to all your great suggestions (and a little detective work on my end), I finally decided on a game plan for my vintage menus. Like many of you I’m sure, every month slipped in with my mounds of Junk mail is a free Val-Pak of coupons. Generally it gets tossed with the rest of the junk, but this month I was waiting for it. I had seen in the window of the frame store around the corner an advertisement for a “26% off -coupon in this months Val-Pak.” Aha! Perhaps custom-framing isn’t out of reach. With coupon in hand I headed down to the frame shop. After bit of bargaining and the promise of all my future framing business I made a deal with the framer on 7 of my favorite menus. Custom-framed to my exact specifications for just under $20 a piece. Not too bad considering one at regular price would set me back $47! So here they are, all in a row. Hope you like! — Erica P.

Nice job! The thin frames do not detract from the menus themselves. Sounds like you negotiated a great deal on the price too!
