blogwatch: a few bright ideas

We found a bunch of bright ideas this week surfing around our favorite sites. The first one is this geniusly bright and cheery kitchen in Apartment Therapy’s Second Annual Fall Color Contest. It’s Becca’s They Doubted Me But Color Made Me See The Light entry, from Merrick, NY. This kitchen is in her basement, and what we love is that she painted her stand-alone Ikea pieces to match her walls. How clever is that? Another bright idea came from Apartment Therapy L.A.’s list of Top 10 Decor Inspiration Films. It reminded us of a few of our favorites (Contempt, In the Mood for Love) and a couple we haven’t yet seen (the Party). It also gave us an idea for a post off (coming soon!). At Love Made Visible, we found these gorgeous notebooks from Five and a Half, made from leftover papers. We also made two new friends. Thanks to Trust Your Style and Sharp Lilly for linking to us. Both are feature oodles of chic and affordable finds. Definitely check them out!
