what a treat! supercute pet costumes

As you get your house and little ones geared up for the night of tricks and treats, don’t forget your four-legged companions! Fido and his friends are sure to be the hit of the parade in one of these Trixie & Peanut costumes. And even if they are a little bit pricey — $25 — $35 each — they’re great inspirations for those handy with a thread and needle (or for the rest of us, just a laugh). Our favorites in the bunch include the pumpkin pooch, trendy devil hoodie and Johnny Depp-esque pirate costume. Eiyreee matey!

Those hoodies look like a great idea because they’re so uncomplicated: not too different from any other doggie sweater.
We got a pirate costume from Target for my Sheltie. Said costume cost around $8 and looks similar to the one here, but I think it’s actually cuter for the price! The thing is, their cutest dog costumes go pretty quickly and you have to go in with your dog’s measurements (my dog doesn’t even come up to my knees, but she still wears a L in their stuff) – dog clothing sizes are even less standard than human clothing sizes! Their other dog clothes seem to go regularly to the clearance rack, but costumes get snapped up.
Meanwhile, my fiance is all like, “You bought your dog a pirate costume to wear? I thought you said you *loved* your dog. Why are you doing that to her? What has she ever done to you?” Etc ad naus.

I love the pirate costume. My girlfriend was dead set on a yorkie, then she subscribed to the Daily Puppy, and now she loves anything small, furry and cute!
