real life test kitchen: banana-walnut-chocolate-chunk cookies!

I know that this is the season to make cute and colorful holiday cookies, but I’ve been wanting to make this recipe from Martha Stewart Living since it was published in September. And besides, who wouldn’t want to be given a batch of these? This recipe combines just about everything that a cookie should: bananas, chocolate chips, oats, walnuts –yum! It’s the perfect thing to make if you have an extra banana lying around that has suddenly become a bit too ripe. To make, combine flour (both white and whole wheat), a pinch of salt and baking soda in a bowl; set aside. Electric mix butter and sugars until fluffy, then add egg and vanilla. Mix in banana. Add flour mixture to that, and then stir in oats, walnuts and chocolate chunks. Spoon out in hefty scoops onto a parchment linked baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. I couldn’t find the recipe online, so click through to the next page for a list of ingredients!
