enter our most unique holiday tschotke contest!

We received a copy of Judith Miller’s book Decorative Arts and it inspired an idea: Our first Shelterrific Contest! You see the book is a collector’s bible, a gorgeous, coffee-table piece that traces style and design from the 1600s to the 1970s. Just leafing through it will create an undeniable hankering to hit an antique market, and will have you scoping out yard sales with a new keen eye. DK Publishing is giving away ONE copy of the book to a clever Shelterrific reader. That’s a $50 value.
Here’s how it works.
Because it’s the holidays — and we know you are great collectors — we want to see YOUR MOST UNIQUE HOLIDAY TSCHOTKE. Send us an email with a short (less then 50 words) description and JPG (at least 400 pixels wide) to letters@shelterrific.com. Deadline is NEXT Friday, December 15th. The tschotke could be anything — something you’ve made, something that’s been passed down, something you’ve found. The Shelterrific crew will look at all entries and decide which one is “the most unique.” (Above, a chalkware deer (1840) from Miller’s book.)
You could win this book!
Click here to see Decorative Arts at Amazon.com — but don’t buy one just yet! Enter our contest first. The winner (and maybe a few others) will be posted in all their glory the week of December 18th. Spread the word! Email your entry in today!
