new obsession: bone china nudes

You may remember a few weeks ago I wrote about a peek inside Chloe Sevigny’s house, and the eye-catching porcelain nude that was shown in the House & Garden slide show. Well, designer Gosia Korsakowski sent an email pointing out some of the vintage items she is selling at Etsy right now, and I can’t stop thinking about how lovely they are. Part of a limited handmade collection by the Polish company, Cmielow (another recent obsession), called White Notes, the shapes have their origins in the 1790s but are totally modern. I’m digging the ladies (like the one above, for $78) but you’ll also find figurines such as sheep, birds and flowers. Awesome! I have been keeping my eye out for something similar since I saw the post (and consequently bought the magazine).
