BURN THERAPY: For superficial household burns I use a paste of baking soda and a bit of cold water. If you burn your hand, let's say, on a hot pan, run the wound under cold water for a few moments. Then apply a syrupy paste onto the wound and let it dry. Reapply at least 2 times over the next hour.

Believe it or not, you will barely feel the burn the next morning.

I have used it as toothpaste for a long time and it works great. I actually prefer it over regular toothpaste.

I use it on Bee stings all the time. Make a very thick paste and glob it on the sting site. Cris-cross it wit couple band-aides. Leave it on for a couple hours. It will keep it from swelling and getting more painful. You won't even know you had a bite once you take it off.

I mix it with my cat's litter between scooping to maintain freshness. Effective, cheap, and safe for kitty!

Great post! Thank you so much I really learn a lot of thigs about baking soda, the only thing I know with baking soda is that you can put it inside your car so that it will smell like a brand new car.

And, of course, if you get sick after eating peppers or some heavy food, one teaspoon of baking soda and a glass of water will help your stomach start working again in a few minutes. I even find it tasty :p
