Not so much the ice cube trays as things like the juicer and butter dish. Not on most people's agenda if you live in a city, but you might come across one on a road trip - there seems to be one at most major exits off of most major interstates.... I remember when that's all we had, and what a pain it was to get the d*** ice cubes out. Twisting a plastic tray (I haven't tried silicone) is easier by 1000%.
