spotted at the gift show: new dwell bedding

Among rows and rows of vendors at the New York International Gift Fair, Allison and I stopped and did a doubletake at Dwell’s new collection. Moving away from their standard, mod, geometric designs of past, they’ve gotten a little more girly, and have managed to work in some traditional motifs in a fresh new way. At the center of the line is this Chinoserie bird set. You’ll see the all the colors found in here — saffron, bronze, brown, chinois green — used throughout the rest of the sets so you can mix and match at will. Design*Sponge loved them too and posted more pix on her site. Not for sale yet, but keep an eye open for them at dwellshop.com. Be sure to check out their kids’ bedding, too. It’s beyond cute. — Angela M.

At first I was not so keen on these but they are surely growing fast on me…

I love that poster! Anyone know where I might find something like that online?

not very interesting, the pattern screams too much for my taste: plus the thing that brought me to Dwell bedding, soft geometrics, with a balanced sense of scale and calming feelings
are not present here. Seems directed at another customer. Don’t like those big baroque motifs either! I might have bad dreams from there overblown images.
