Here’s a little decor inspiration for a dreary winter’s day: Cottage Living’s painted floor gallery. It’s like taking a little vacation at your desktop — doesn’t that white bathroom look amazingly inviting? Though the mag says that painted floors are very “cottage,” we have a few friends who have painted floors in their urban pads, too — including a chartreuse one in a Tribeca Loft. Painting a floor is not as hard as you would think, though it does require some dedication, and willingness to freshen it up every year or so.
