a big kiss to josef frank (via anthropologie)

Knowing our love for vintage modern fabrics, Design*Sponge pointed out this post over at her site about Anthropologie’s delightful Josef Frank line. For those of you unfamiliar with his work, Josef Frank was an architect, city planner and a leader of Scandinavian design (though he was Austrian). He became famous for his textiles and made over 200 patterns between 1909 and 1950 — many of which incorporated themes from nature. You can buy his patterns now and have them made into drapes, bedspreads and upholstery. And, as Design*Sponge points out, Anthropologie has produced a whole series of pieces with his patterns. Can’t handle a whole couch? Start with a side chair. They will brighten up any room and will become something you’ll cherish! Keep the cat away (Grace, that means you, too).
