How’s this for weird: Yesterday, I woke up thinking about Panton Chairs. I had dreamt about them… a purple one, to be exact. In my dream, I was overseeing a series of challenges — much like a certain reality show that’s on tonight — to incorporate a Panton chair into many different kinds of rooms. Each contestant had to make a purple Panton Chair fit into whatever environment was presented to them: a farm house, an old man’s office, a nursery, etc. (I think the image was planted in my knocker by New York mag’s Best Bets. That’s what happens when you blog before bedtime.) Well, later in the day, this adorable, red mini Panton Chair Classic arrived in my office via the kind folks at Vitra. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
