blogwatch: glamming it up

It’s been a busy week around our little web worlds. On Monday night Maxwell and his family made a grand appearance in their tiny pad on the Oprah Winfrey Show. The entire hour was dedicated to living in small spaces, and there were some good advice dished out. Holly over at Decor8 can give you the recap. Meanwhile, we’ve been loving all the Oscar sites that have sprung up in honor of the big event. Check out Oscarwatch.com which will satisfy rabid fans with lists, trivia and even an Oscar Haiku. Diggs magazine offers some tips on how to host an award show bash, but if your own party isn’t glam enough, log on to VanityFair.com where you can virtually attend their annual shindig. While we were there, we stopped to read this story about the new Bowery Hotel. It’s hard to believe that this part of town is getting so upscale! Over at Hotel Chatter there is also a lot of buzz about the Bowery. Has anyone ever used this blog for travel ideas? We love the idea of seeing real people’s photos of hotel rooms, like the ones in their Flickr group. One year, we rented a suite in the Four Seasons here in NYC and hosted a very fab Oscar night party. This year, we’re gonna cook up some spicy mac-n-cheese from the March Bon Appetit and hit the sofa with our laptop. What are your Oscar night plans?
