Ha — I was going to say the same thing as Lexy! I have one myself (same color scheme, even) I’ve been meaning to frame. There’s a book out called Decorating on eBay that has a whole section on framing handkerchiefs–more inspiration.

Why not frame Vera scarves (one each) in glossy painted frames? Very Pop art, no?

My best friend was paying more like $2 for Vera scarves on ebay a few years ago.

I found a nice Vera blouse in a thrift store last year, which I was just planning to sell, but the paint on the front buttons chipped in the process of me trying to get a small stain out of the blouse & ready it for sale. The hem also came down. If you find the vintage stuff, be nice to it – I only washed it on my washer’s “hand wash” cycle, which has been fine for cashmere sweaters and the like. The washer has no agitator. The blouse only cost me a few dollars, so I wasn’t upset that it took a hit, but if someone pays a bit more for one on ebay, they should probably be warned to just handwash in a basin with as little agitation as possible.

oh no, the cat is out of the bag! now the ebay prices will skyrocket. but hopefully people will wear them as well as decorate with them…

I’m happy to have a hand-me-down Vera from my mom, who received it as a gift in the ’70s. It’s lovely and so beautifully crafted – it still looks new and fresh today.
