the best of new york, online

Paging through New York magazine’s bi-annual Best of New York issue, we found a few of our favorites included in the “Home + Help” section, as well as a few gems we hadn’t heard of before. Luckily for those of you who don’t live near the Big Apple (or like us, seem to be stuck indoors way too much), a handful have websites that will deliver the goods from NYC to wherever you may be.
Oldprintshop.com, listed as the best place to buy affordable art, is an NYC staple with such a wide array of prints you can get lost browsing there for hours. Its website is just as extensive, where you’ll find everything from old maps to contemporary photographic masterpieces. Be sure to look at the nature prints from the 18th and 19th Century, like this butterfly one (Atropos plate 237), $275.
Wonknyc.com is a great place to look if you’re in the market for compact, space-saving furniture. Made in Brooklyn, their sleek modern designs often come with hidden compartments to hide your stuff. Above, the Livonia cabinet, $995.
Kioskkiosk.com is a gift shop that changes its inventory every few months or so to feature a different country’s goods. Currently up for grabs, everyday beauties from Germany.
2kh.com offers a range of high-end, eco-friendly products for your home and life. A great place to shop for that next wedding present. Shown above, the round coconut shell lamp, $290
