wish we were there: v & a's surreal things exhibit

London’s V&A museum launched its Surreal Things exhibit over the weekend, which is on now until the end of July. Focusing on objects created by Dali, Duchamp and the gang, the show explores the innovative way these artists looked at our world. From tables with bird legs to phones with lobsters to big red lip couches ready to devour you, they pushed the boundaries of convention and remind us even today, that it’s important to dream. If a visit to the U.K. isn’t in your plans, check out the V&A shop online, where you’ll find touches of surreal decor you can bring into your own home, like the cloud lampshade, Man Ray’s witty ‘Cadeau Audace’ tea towel, and Philippe Starck’s Tooth Stool.
