One of the best thing’s about Earthday is that everyone’s writing about smart, cool eco-friendly designs. We’re gonna make a point of writing about these all year long, in our new category “living green.” To get us started, here’s a round up of some lovely green-goodies being blogged about this week.

Apartment Therapy pointed us towards organic art at Grassland. They make wall hangings made out of grass that ages to a pleasant shade of brown over about two years’ time.

Charles and Hudson has an interesting post about living in a Yurt.

Inhabitat had some welcoming, recycled billboard birdhouses, Billbirdhous by bomdesign.com.

You’ll find cute recycled magazine photo frames from Urban Outfitters over at Fototiller.

And, because we always have too many magazines in our homes, we love these Surfin’ Magazine Racks at InModern. As design-milk.com points out, they’re made from enviromentally friendly Smartwood.
