Here’s an international shopping tip, courtesy of our friend Cathay, who as a travel writer, has more air miles than anyone we know! She just got back from a few weeks in India, and told us about fabindia.com, a site that sells gorgeous Indian linens and (for orders over $100) ships to the USA for free. We love the white cotton appliqué bedspread and the pink and green Sameera Quilt. The prices are reasonable, and the fabrics gorgeous. Fab!

Fab India has some nice stuff. I was wearing one of their short tunic tops yesterday (the finish on them is very nice: all french seamed/faux french seams). However, I have not been able to order via the web. I wonder if that’s been fixed recently. (because i need to order a Nehru vest for my BIL.)

Aaaah! Fab India is the bomb. I have a handful of their kurtas from a few years ago when I was in Chennai and they are SO gorgeous. Now, to order everything else I didn’t have room for…
