Mary T. pointed out this supercute blog, Spiralling, the other day. We’re not sure it’s still active (the last post was in March) but boy, we hope it is ’cause we love these MUSHROOMS! There’s mushroom fabric, mushroom mugs and little wooden mushrooms. It got us thinking about how amazing it is that so many people can be so dedicated to such specific topics. Our favorite, well-edited, sharply-focused blog it is It’s (K)Not Wood which only writes about faux bois — products that look like wood, but aren’t. Another lovely digital treat is the Cupcake Blog. The name says it all. There you’ll find pages and pages of cupcake photos and recipes, which has it turns out, come in many, many varieties!

Other blogs are obsessed with specific stores. Craving Anthropologie finds endless inspiration in that brand’s catalog and products. Ikea Hacker is a genius blog that seeks out new ways to adapt the cheap Swedish furniture into something clever and unique. We’re sad to say another store-focused blog we like, Slave to Target, is hanging up her blogging gloves. You can still browse through the archives though. It was a lot of fun, but, a lot of work, we’re sure.
