We’re floating on air after learning that Elle Decor Editor-in-Chief Margaret Russell includes us among her favorite design blogs. Holly at Decor8 alerted us to the news that Shelterrific, along with a handful of other great sites, is mentioned in Ms. Russell’s June editor’s page. What’s truly delightful is the company we’re with — along with Decor8 and other staples like Apartment Therapy and Design*Sponge are few blogs that we’re not as familiar with, but now that we are they’re going on our links list! Great editors are the ultimate filters for their readers, pointing them only towards places and things that are truly worthy. So get ready to adjust your bookmark bar, here are a few other of MR’s personal clicks:
Another Shade of Grey — Where has this blog been all our lives? This blogger has a great eye, gathering gems from far flung sites (like this Russian one) to Etsy (where the adorable striped dachshund puppy can be found).
Chameleon Interiors –This blog comes from the owner and designer of Chameleon Interiors, who generously blogs about her inspirations, and also has a pretty rockin’ Etsy shop. Look at this cute pillow!
The Nestmaker — This site offers a daily decorating email, as well as healthy Q&A forum. It won us over immediately with this great post about cat furniture.
Style Court — The person behind this site sure is handy with a scanner! Click over to see gorgeous photos from magazines, ad campaigns, catalogs and more. How much do we love this Ruthie Sommers’ story from House Beautiful? We want to live in that room. Now. And we would have missed if not for Style Court!

I am addicted to that Etsy site. I’m told that I am hard to shop for - I just keep pointing my family over to Etsy and telling them “anything from there!!!”. My favorite thing to do on Etsy is search “bird” and check out all the cool items. I am especially in love with Joom’s shop and this pillow: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5990275

I just want to clarify that I was alerted by a few of my readers, one of which scanned in the page and sent it to me. But I have not seen the issue with my own eyes. Although I have to say, I wish my subscription copy would hurry up because I am looking forward to confirming this as fact or not!

I just read on Style Court that she has the issue, and we’re in it, and now Surroundings has confirmed it, so I guess this is our 10 minutes, ladies!
