I think it’s good idea to serve something hearty and filling—that way at least the kids won’t be eating candy out of hunger. But it has to be something they really love otherwise they’ll be too excited to sit still and chow it down. I saw these Calzones on dachsies and design—they might be a contender ’cause they look so fun. The recipe is here (but I would just follow the part about making them witch hatty. I'll have to try this one. I wasn't too familiar with this dish before, but since having made it, it's been referenced on Heroes and I saw another recipe on Chow, I believe. And now here!
