testing out toto’s warming toilet seat

A few months ago, we wondered what could possibly make a toilet worth $5,000. Toto’s super-luxe Neorest 600 comes with a self washer, dryer and deodorizer. It all sounds a bit unnecessary, except for one feature which we had the fortune of testing out over the weekend: The Warmlet, a warming toilet seat. Our room at Santa Fe’s Ten Thousand Waves came equipped with one. We cranked it up towards high and got ready for some butt-cheek comfort. I know it sounds silly, but oh man, it is NICE! The funny thing is that each time I sat down on the thing I was pleasantly surprised. “Oh, it’s warm!” You can buy your own warming seat for $200 at Procomfort USA. — Angela M.

I would be WAY to scared that I would be the lucky gal to sit on it when there was a short and my obit would read “electrocuted on the crapper, she should have lead a lower-fiber lifestyle”.

Yuck, I’ve always thought there was not much nastier that sitting on a warm loo seat, cool at least means there’s not been anyone recently before you.
