It works for tables up to a width of 5cm and you can easily take it with you - it folds down flat. As I'm from Germany we bought ours in Berlin at a shop called "rasselfisch". We've got a Hippo seat (same basic design as this chair) and have had some trouble attaching it to thicker tables, edges where there's a beam set back from the edge (if that makes sense) and it's not permitted to attach this chair to a table with a center post support (e.g., one leg and not four). This kind of a chair is a great idea but keep in mind you can only use it on certain types of tables! I wish I'd known this before I purchased one.
