tulum dreams: off to the mayan riviera

Ah, doesn’t that oceanfront room look inviting? I hope it is as lovely in person as it is online, because Chad & I are heading that way today! We’re off on our honeymoon, which will be a brief, but hopefully blissful, five nights in Tulum, Mexico. We’ll be back next week, and between now then posting will be a light. But don’t worry, we still have a few treats coming your way thanks to our contributors! I’m sure I’ll have some fun folk art finds or culinary treats to share with you next week. Till then! — Angela M.

I’m 99% sure that’s the exact room me and my wife stayed at in Tulum at Ana y Jose and absolutely loved it. Make sure and get pizza at Zamas, a carnita from the street stand across from the “San Francisco” market, and most importantly go to Xel’Ha the natural outdoor waterpark!!

Congrats!!! I went to Tulum a couple of years ago and it is beautiful, you’ll love it!

We stayed somewhere a bit more rustic (http://www.azulik.com/), but it was amazing and all our pictures looked like Corona ads!

You’ll have a blast! We too spent our honeymoon in Tulum (2003). And we decided on Tulum after reading about in Budget Living of course!

Our place was quite a bit more rustic as well, but it was still heaven on earth.
