Browsing around on Flickr the other day, I found a ton of great photos of houses decorated for Halloween, like the one above by Riaskiff. For some, it seems as important (if not more so) than Christmas. As someone who was raised watching horror movies, I have to say I lean this way. What could be more fun than decking out your house for the pleasure of little drop-by-visitors all night long? The superintendent in our apartment building obviously feels the same. He’s done up the basement-laundry room with fake rats, cobwebs and laughing plastic skulls. What a treat! I think our river cottage is a bit too rural to get trick or treaters, but we may have to put up some spooky decor, none-the-less. What about you? Do you decorate your house for Halloween?
