wanted: the ikea lamp everyone’s talking about
There’s nothing like a hopeless trip to Ikea to get you down. But I should have known that my quest for this new Kulla lamp in red would end in sorrow, considering how design editors have been fawning over it recently. I’ve spotted it in magazines (like New York’s Best Bets) and blogs (like Happy Mundane), but sadly, I won’t be spotting next to my bed anytime soon. Our local Paramus store was sold out of the vibrant crimson color, though there were plenty of black and white ones ($50). I’ll keep checking the store, but let me know if you see any near you! — Angela M.

You can check the inventory of an item for the store near you. It might help you locate one nearby.

Actually…. breaking news! Chad swung by Ikea today and found it. They restocked! Yippee. Thanks for the offer though!

Ha, ha — my dog can turn on the floor lamp, but only when he accidentally steps on the switch.
