help! i need a “bedside” table

Oh please help me find a piece of furniture for the space next my bed. I’m looking for a small dresser that doubles as a nightstand — and one that won’t deplete my bank account. You see, I desperately need the storage of a dresser, but I also need to have my nightly necessities within reach (I can’t go to sleep without my glass of water, box of tissues, journal, reading lamp, alarm clock, chapstick and book at the ready.) I didn’t think I was asking for so much, but my search for the perfect piece is proving to be impossible. I suppose my space constraints are fairly limiting. Ideally the piece would be about 30 inches wide, under 18 inches deep and of normal nightstand height, (about 30 inches.) Any suggestions? — Erica P.
I love the look of this mirrored dresser from Wisteria but it’s at least $500 too much.
This one from IKEA seemed to be a great size, but I’m not loving the design.
I’m crazy for this mid-century modern piece at centurymodern.com but again, the price-tag is a little too… well, pricey.

I know it’s not a dresser-style, but I fell in love with this shelf stand just a few days ago when I was flipping through the brookstone catalog:

I hope the link works.

OMG Lisapete I was just about to leave links to the exact same two nightstands at Z Gallerie. They don’t have online ordering so you have to go to one of their retail stores, Erica, but I agree I really like the looks of their mirrored nightstands and drawers for the price too!

The Chelsea Flea Market!!
I always find stuff there and an antique would look great!
If you are not in NYC, then any antique market would do.
They always have night stands since they are light and take up little room.
