I don’t use the weighted stocking holders. I use the removable hooks from 3M and attach them to the horizontal surface of the mantel. They hold a lot, you can buy various sizes with various weight capacities. I attach them to the mantel where I want them and then cover them with evergreen garland. I’ve been doing this since my children were babies and have never had a problem!

The 3M hooks remove easily when the holidays are over! I use them for lots of other holiday decorating, too… hanging wreaths & garland, corraling cords…

Love the idea of buying the “PEACE” ones from Target and using the A & C. Then, of course, you’d have to name the future child a “P” or “E” name, to ensure a matching stocking hook display next year.

Last year we lined up our glove molds on our mantel and hung our stockings off those — but we have no toddlers anywhere! My in-laws have these little grippy things that you fit into the space between bricks; it wouldn’t do damage (or very minor I’d think) if it got pulled down. I’ll see if I can find them online.

My 3 year old pulled one off too! We were so lucky that it didn’t hit her in the head! So now they sit back on the mantel with no stockings. But we decied to hang our stockings instead on our key holder next to the door. It looks like this:

FYI: you might want to hold off - I know of way too many people whose kids have tugged on stockings and pulled that type of stocking holder onto themselves. Just a few days ago someone posted that their toddler went to the hospital and had tons of stitches. I won’t have mine out again until there is no-one under the age of 5 in my house!

I was going to suggest the ones at Target as well. I was there last night and was looking at their sets - they have a nice weight and some of them are quite attractive.
