gift giving guide: angela’s wish list

Here’s our last installment in this year’s Christmas gift giving guide. This one comes from Angela M. who is thinking like a nesting, soon-to-be-new mom these days. Click here to see all our of guides — and remember, online shops are open 24 hours!

Limited edition Diptyque candles, $72. At that price, I would never buy for myself, but I love them.

Gnome table by Philippe Starck, $321. I’m not sure where he would go, but I really think this guy belongs in our upstate house.

Vera Cashmere wrap, $310. Simply gorgeous. I’d treasure forever.

Cashmere silk knit Icon Paper dolls blanket, $144 from Dwell shop. This is the kind of pink baby’s blanket I can support!

Home Hero fire extinquisher, $30. I spotted this on Happy Mundane a while back, and have been craving ever since.

A garland rug, $75, for our entryway. It’s chic, eco-friendly and easy to clean.

Caldera’s Sweet Pea children’s laundry detergent, $16. Our Seventh Generation suds are half the price, but I love the smell of this.

Nigella Express, $22. I heard her talking about this new book on NPR last weekend, and am dying to try some of the recipes myself.

Mammoth Crocs, $44. Yes, I think they are ugly. But ya know what? I would love something cozy like this to slip into for quick errands up at our country house.

Storksak Emily Pewter diaper bag, $168. I’ve been holding off buying a new purse all fall. This bag (also used by Angelina Jolie) is chic enough to tote to work and yet it’s practical and will get the job done.

Ooo! I got the Nigella Express for myself as an early Christmas present. I’ve made the bacon-brandied chicken, the hokey pokey and the instant chocolate mousse already. They were all hits - except for the hokey pokey. I think that was my fault as I don’t think I cooked it long enough and it just stuck to our teeth instead of being a crispy hard candy. :S

I must be the only person on earth who does not think Crocs are ugly! I think they’re cool! And practical. I hope they hang around after the appeal wears off for 12-year-olds.

Happy Holidays, I hope you get all that was on your wishlist even those ugly looking crocs. I do like the gnome table though. It would make a great conversation piece.
