site we're psyched about: slowhome.com

“Suburban sprawl is like fast food, cheap and easy but also unsatisfying and boring.” So says Slow Home, which was just featured in the New York Times, and I’m inclined to agree. Having just abandoned surburbia for a much smaller house and yard that are much closer to stores, restaurants, and other people, I can’t wait to read more about the “slow home” movement. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the featured Cheskey Residence pictured above, but I sure am looking forward to reading more about it, and projects like it. — Mary T.
