art we're psyched about: cheryl molnar

art

The wall space over our living room couch is currently occupied by a boring framed landscape poster. So when I went to my friend Cheryl’s gallery opening in Chelsea last week, I was hoping one of her paintings might be a good replacement. I loved her arresting oil-on-paper and aluminum-on-wood renderings of urban and suburban scenes, seen through a colorful prism of architectural detail, but her work is just outside of my price range. Maybe it won’t be for you, though. —Bunny W.
