Last week’s The New York International Gift Fair was a sleepy event for the most part. Now that I am writing for eco-friendly website Sprig, I am trying to curb my habits of consumption, so all the stuff scared me a bit. But as a market editor and gift guide aficionado, I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do — poor me. My favorite thing of all was the black and white cookie plates from dbO ceramics — all of their plates and platters are quite beautiful and affordable. My father was a sucker for a good black and white cookie; if he was still around, I would certainly have entertained getting him one as a little treat for Valentine’s day. –Allison R.
