A reader emailed a link to this quite innovative curtain concept, above right, by Florian Kräutli, who uses magnets so the curtain can be easily shaped into sculptural designs. But what’s this? MoCo Loco readers point out the similarities to a curtain created in 2005, above left, by Hannah Allijn, who uses a pull cord to achieve a similar effect. Design plagiarism? An homage? A simple case of great minds thinking alike? Though Allijn’s version was set to be manufactured last summer, a production problem forced her to go in search of a new manufacturer late last year.
