Comments on: paint-by-number stairwell in country living

I don’t care if it’s 50s or 90s or whatever. I love it. There’s usually at least one story in every Country Living that I end up drooling over.

I find a lot of these PbNs in antique stores but they’re usually marked way up. Makes me just want to buy a set and paint my own!

Why would paint-by-number art leave anybody drooling? This is a bit of a cliché by now, no? Didn’t Todd Oldham pioneer this, oh, say, back in the early 1990s?

I do love my PbN’s though you have to be careful buying on EBay because quality often doesn’t come through. I don’t mean artistic merit but more like water spots, tears, etc.

PS. I only collected pics with barns in them.
