meg's green finds: wonderful graffiti wall transfers

Well, summer has officially arrived and with it I think it’s safe to say we are in the full swing of wedding season. I went to an absolutely gorgeous wedding this past weekend and was delighted to find an Envirosax reusable shopping bag filled with goodies hanging from the door knob of our hotel room. Small eco-friendly ideas like this are such a breath of fresh air at weddings! Another sweet idea? Today I stumbled upon the Wonderful Graffiti Wedding site (by way of CasaSugar) and fell in love with the site’s customizable (and easily removable) wall transfers. How lovely and earth-friendly it would be to put one beautifully designed menu on a wall in your venue rather than printing out individual menu cards! Available here for $72. — Meg D.

Sigh–I wanted some Wonderful Graffiti for my wedding a year ago, but our venue said NO!!!! in no uncertain terms. I explained that it peeled off with no problem,it’s not a real decal or sticker, and their faces went from horror to truculence. NO!!!!! So much for our Graffit’ed wedding. ;(

I know someone who did the Envirosax bags as wedding favors and it was such a cool thing. They actually hung the bags over the backs of everyone’s chairs in the reception hall, and it made for such a pretty and colorful table deco, that they didn’t need to pay extra for chair covers matching their colors – and everyone got to take them home!! Very fun AND ecofriendly AND cost effective… all around a great idea. In fact, I loved my bag so much that I went back and bought the same style in a pouch (Mikado), and now use them almost daily for groceries and the gym… a great find!

Here’s a photo of the style I bought:

The totes as a chair cover is a GREAT idea. You should kudo/mention the couple who came up with it (if they are up for it) — really good idea.
