five things we learned last week

1. Mary’s not the only one singing the praises of Dilletante chocolate sauce. Psymonetta writes: “When I had an espresso cart, I used Ephemere for my mochas…Dilletante burnt cream for my caramel lattes. As far as coffee goes, I wouldn’t use anything else. They truly elevate the flavor rather than competing with it.” Read all about the delicious sauce here.
2. Small jelly or canning jars works great for beverages. Writes CJL: “The textured glass is pretty with colourful drinks and sunlight passing through, and they are durable, green and easy to clean!” Click here read more green wedding ideas.
3. Envirosax bags make great wedding favors. Steph went to a wedding recently where “They actually hung the bags over the backs of everyone’s chairs in the reception hall, and it made for such a pretty and colorful table deco, that they didn’t need to pay extra for chair covers matching their colors - and everyone got to take them home!!” Click here to see more green wedding ideas.
4. The new Ikea in Brooklyn is not that different from any other, except how you get there. G reports: “I hopped the FREE ferry from pier 11. The store was pretty quiet but I was very disappointed with their stock and customer service, but that comes with growing pains I guess… but the ferry was awesome! It was a beautiful night and the water was great. 1/3 of the people on the boat were not going to ikea but using the ferry to get home.” Click here to read more or leave your own observations.
5. We’ve all had kitchen disasters. Kajola writes: “There was the time that I was making a cake to bring into work – I was finishing it up in the morning and as I was heating some honey in a saucepan, I turned my back for a moment and when I looked back it was overflowing and on fire. I have no recollection of what I did to put out the fire.” Click here to share kitchen disasters.

Dilletante choclate sauce…SO good I’d like to wear it! But they ask me to get off the bus when I do
(Kidding!) Really they make some darn tasty stuff. Used to really enjoy their cafe in Seattle when I was in the ‘hood.
I love jelly jars for all sorts of stuff! And I gotta lotta stuff to sort! Feels especially summery to drink from them though
And, Envirosax for wedding favors!? Brilliant!!!!!! I don’t know about hanging them from the chairs (?) but as take-aways most definitely
