is it too early to plan for halloween?

Long time readers of this blog know that I have a soft spot for the macabre, with dismembered limbs and digits being one of my favorite gimmicks. I’ve already starting placing a few random cast iron hands in my garden, tickled that it sort of looks like arms reaching out from the ground. Well, this Zombie sculpture from Design Toscano is my kind of pink flamingo. Even if we just haul it once a year on my favorite holiday, how can I resist? (via Gizmodo) — Angela M.

That’s really scary! Real scary. On principle, I’ll prefer it to the cartoon fakey, obviously non-scary, typical Halloween decorations, but off the record, that’s f’d, I guess because I don’t really like to be scared! It succeeds, in fact, because I wish it would go away.
