The Urban sprawl bed is the best dogs bed I ever got, it lasted our male mastiff 1 year and looked brand new after washing, there's a great density to it.
Sadly when we got our second pup, they used it as a battering ram and a wall bumper so we took it away and put it in my male mastiff's crate - big mistake, overnight he destroyed it :-( but I'd get another.

The jolly ball we got from our local horse supply store, the dogs love it, the rope lasted 5 minutes but the ball is one of their favourite toys and so far it's taken a beating and it's still in one piece.

My dog's not that big, but she's an avid chewer and went through regular-size Nylabones in a couple days. What's worked for us is BoodaBone rope toys and the Nylabone Galileo (which seems to have been renamed the Dino bone). It's oddly phallic looking but she's yet to finish one off.

[...] 3. Mary isn’t the only one with a big dog in need of some toys! As Kirsten writes: “We have a mastiff mix (with a lab) and a shepard mix (with something) and both destroy everything we give them in a matter of seconds! we’ve had a lot of trouble finding an affordable bed for marvin (our mastiff mix) so that’s a great reco. we still have our bad cuz from 3 years ago! like you said, the horns and legs are missing, thanks to Matilda (our shepard mix) but they still love it.
My dog (brittany/collie) loves her cuz toys. She has 2 and can tell the difference between 'bald guy' and 'evil guy'.

We have her 'bald guy' outside, and it is fairing pretty well. She got some algae on it, and we bleached it, and it is as good as new.

Our girl is a chewer, usually she first chews out the squeaker in any toy, and anything that is soft (stuffed or rope) doesn't make it 20 seconds, but she hasn't chewed the legs off of these.

Sofa...what a great name! Your dog is about double the size of my chocolate lab. Pretty impressive! I met a dog the other day that was 220, a ridgeback/mastiff mix. My other dog is a rescue mix and weighs 42, but likes to chew through everything, so we're always in search of Paco-proof toys, as we call them. Thanks for the tips

Yikes! Thanks for the note on the Cuz. Not excusing it -- like I said, our puppy did chew the feet off quickly. It's an issue with a lot of toys; we end up taking them away because the dogs are just doing too much damage.

On the Scoop bowl, I have one and it does well staying put! I don't know about knocking it over, but the rubberized feet keep it really secure -- I was trying to scoot it out of the way of a cabinet today, in fact, and had to pick it up to move it. She might want to try with a smaller one first before sinking a lot of money into them since they're $20 or more apiece.

Yay for big dogs and good design.

Just a warning on the cuz, A friend's dog chewed the feet off, they got stuck in her intestine and the resulting surgery was under anesthetic and over $800. The makers also have other cute styles like a rubber chicken that might be a little safer, usually available at the big pet chains in the states.

If anyone has experience with the studio scoop bowl I'd be interested to hear if it stays put. My Airedale Terrier likes to pick up her bowl or even knock the thing over until everything spills out.
