real life test kitchen: grilled peaches with honey
(and more summery, fruity favorites!)

It’s that time of the summer. Time when the fresh fruit is so good that you really don’t need to do anything else for dessert other than heat it up and serve it on some vanilla ice cream. The other weekend we got just a tad fancy, grilling peaches (butter the cut side and place on that flat side down) and putting them on ice cream with some drizzled honey. I’ve seen recipes for this dish that use either creme fraiche or ricotta cheese. I will probably explore some more peach recipes in the coming weeks — so please let me know if you have any in your arsenal to share! In the meantime, here’s a little roundup of some fruity, summer goodness we’ve tried and loved here at Shelterrific. Enjoy! — Angela M.

Also delish on the grill (maybe with caramel instead of honey?) – pears. Yummmm!

Those look so yummy. Were you able to use your own honey?

Sadly, no! It’s not our honey. Hopefully soon though!
