strangely appealing: saddle stool

I came across this stool on NOTCOT.org the other morning. With beautiful lines and a soft leather seat, it should add up to incredible design, but I just can’t seem to take it seriously. Would you want two of these lined up at your home bar? Could you imagine sitting down (or saddling up) to sip a cup of tea? The stool was created by Brazilian furniture designer Fernando Akasaka and coined “Cowboy Junkie” after the band by the same name. Any takers? –Erica P.

I have one of my old saddles mounted on a “spool” type stand in my living room. I love it. I sit on it every once in awhile, it made my back feel great because it instantly corrects my posture. Kids love it too! It’s also a nice way to remember a cherished horse. =)
