a pop-up book for adults

After spying this super-cool pop-up book on the aptly named site Cool Hunting, I’ve been racking my brain for an excuse to purchase a copy. Anyone have a birthday coming up? If you’re an architecture buff, or you know someone who is, you have got to check out this book. With 20 three-dimensional replications and at least 80 other illustrations of “some of the most innovative modern and contemporary architecture from around the world,” this book surely won’t disappoint. The Modern Architecture Pop-Up Book was created by pop-up artist Anton Radevsky and architectural writer David Sokol, and features contributions by notable architects such as I. M. Pei, Richard Meier and Frank Gehry. Available for $45 wherever fine books are sold (or if you’re in New York, pick up a copy at the Rizzoli bookstore .) — Erica P.
