nie nie benefit sale: community support for an inspiring blogger

There’s an Etsy sale taking place Tuesday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 24 that will do far more than net you some fine handmade items. The Nie Nie Benefit Sale will raise money to help offset astronomical medical bills for Stephanie Nielson and her husband Christian, both critically burned in a private plane crash on August 16. Stephanie’s blog, the Nie Nie Dialogues, gained quite a following for the fun and inspiring home life she creates for the couple’s four children. Thanks to an equally eloquent blog by her sister CJane, the story of Stephanie and Christian has gained national attention. According to Etsy, hundreds of community members will be joining in the September 23-24 benefit sale. To learn more or to participate yourself, visit the Nie Nie Benefit site, www.nierecovery.com, or One More Moore.

From our partners

The tragedy that has happened to Stephanie and Christian has turned into a beautiful wellspring of hope and love. I’ve been delighted to see the breadth of response in the blogging community. Unfortunately, I know first-hand of the cost of extensive medical bills.

My daughter, Alyson, is three years old and has been diagnosed with Leukemia. A friend, Marina, is an Etsy vendor and has put together a shop to help us pay for her three-year-long treatments. This has been a God-send, as we’re only 1 1/2 months into this journey and the bills are rolling in.

If anyone would be kind enough to visit the shop at alysonscure.etsy.com or leave Alyson a little “Love Note” via her blog at alyson.mystyl.us . Any support, whether financial or emotional is always greatly appreciated.
