Sue, I would say eBay! You can find entire fireplaces on there. And barring that, I’m sure a talented metal worker could recreate one for you. Let us know what you find out.

WOW…i have one of these “lovelies” in my basement! i can’t believe they still make them. i’ve been trying to decide how to make mine look a little less…um…horrid.

Thanks for this post and for mentioning my site. It is indeed AMAZING what a design statement these fireplaces can make – they are so architecturally beautifully — and cozy, to boot! In addition to the ones still made by Malm, there seem to be many other designs hanging out in midcentury basements. Some of them are SO TACKY that they are gorgeous! Pam
